ABOUT US

The Shipping Innovation Alliance (SIA) is a multi-level innovation cooperation network jointly built by leading domestic and foreign shipping enterprises, research institutions, and functional platforms, with Shanghai as the core hub. Its aim is to promote the transformation and upgrading of the shipping industry towards green, digital, and intelligent directions, and to assist in the construction of the Shanghai International Shipping Center.

The Shipping Innovation Alliance was established in 2018, led by the Shanghai International Shipping Research Center and composed of innovative entities in the shipping industry. It is a strategic cooperation alliance with cross industry complementarity. The Alliance, jointly launched with 15 leading shipping technology enterprises and functional institutions, covers many innovative fields such as shipping big data, shipping big models, shipping Internet, shipping finance, shipping blockchain, shipping multimodal transport, shipping cloud computing, shipping new media, and is committed to promoting institutional innovation, technological innovation, and business model innovation in the shipping industry.

The Shipping Innovation Alliance collaborates with the North Bund Shipping Innovation Service Base to incubate a project, with the secretariat located at the Shanghai International Shipping Research Center, fully leveraging the advantages of think tanks and connecting government and enterprise resources.

The alliance continues to strengthen its comprehensive service capabilities for enterprises within the alliance through a three in one model of "multi-party collaboration+cutting-edge technology driven+policy capital empowerment", and continues to lead industry transformation and sustainable development.
